Conformation Training
Our state of the art training center is especially built to suit the
needs of training a dog for the show ring. Matted patterns for the
dogs are designed to teach the technical details of gaiting your dog
for you and your dog to learn. Mirrored walls are also set up to show
the appearance of your dog when stacked in show position as well as
teaching new students what your dog looks like when you stack them.
Allowing both the dog and student to learn what techniques work best
for you. There are ring gates set up, like those at a show, to get the
student and dog use to what obstacles are set up around the ring.
Training sessions include the teaching and learning of patterns in the
conformation ring, how to stack your dog, how to gait your dog
appropriately and choosing a style of showing which works best for you
and your dog. We will cover all aspects of how a dog show is ran and
how to compete in a dogs show, we also will help students to learn how
to enter a dog show and what appropriate attire is for the show ring.
But more importantly we will teach students how to have fun with their
dog.
Exclusive Instructor, Joe T. Caton Joe started teaching classes at a
small training center in 1994 and has continued through many different
training locations up until this point. He has now been able to work
with Beechwold Veterinary Clinic in designing the ideal training
center. Joe is a licensed Therapy Dog International evaluator and
Canine Good Citizen evaluator. He strives to provide an atmosphere
conductive to learning and new ideas to train your dog. He promises to
make sure everyone, students and dogs, are having a good time at all
times in a positive and supporting environment. All classes are
designed so students can learn from examples and other students.
Knowledgeable assistants are always available for further help during
the training session. Students may ask questions at any time and in
